Hawaii Island Drainage Master Plan ($375,000)
The requested funding would be used to conduct the Hawaii Island Drainage Master Plan.
The project will inventory all streams and rivers on the island of Hawaii to establish a priority list on which to base resource decisions. These funds will be matched with local sponsor funding. The study is a high priority for the County of Hawaii. The County is taking a proactive stance on comprehensively addressing flood risk and environmental degradation.
